Statewide leaders in career and technical education often come from Great Oaks Institute of Technology and Career Development.  In March, Mike Fritz was recognized for his service to Ohio students with an Ohio DECA Leadership Award.  For the past 20 years, Fritz has served students through DECA, the international association for high school and college marketing students—as a marketing teacher, marketing supervisor, and now as assistant dean for satellite programs.  At the district and state level, Fritz has guided students and volunteered as both a judge and event chairperson for student events.

He was honored at the 64^th Annual Ohio DECA Conference in Columbus.
