Laurel Oaks students excel in Business Professionals of America competition

Eleven Laurel Oaks students are on their way to Columbus in March for state Business Professionals of America (BPA) competition as a result of their outstanding scores in regional competition.

 

The state-qualifying students are:  Brandon Bartlett, Sheena Drake, Jessi Estep, Miranda Gardner, Jackie Hensley, Matt Howard, Alex Johnson, Zach Paul, Breah Robinette, Seth Shoemaker, and Karina Smith.

 

In BPA competition, students are given real-life business situations and must, individually or as a team, develop solutions and demonstrate their skills.  Categories cover a wide range of business applications including payroll accounting, graphic design, web design, interview skills, global marketing, human resources, economic research, and other areas.
